Intro:
Although laptop coolers are nothing new to the enthusiast market,
one would question the real necessity of them. I mean, if your laptop would get
too hot, the whole 4 or 5 real manufacturers of laptops would catch that, and put
in better cooling, right? But one could say that a cooler system will last
longer, and perhaps be not as prone to crashes and lock-ups. Back on track here,
this cooler is very unique in a few ways; it has a 4 port USB 2.0 Hub, adjustable
fan speed, and it's AC powered!
Also, in my last laptop cooler review, I couldn't come up
with a real accurate way to check laptop temperatures. However, I have a new
method this time around...

Since I hadn't heard of Jetart until recently, I thought I'd

The test unit was well packed in a cardboard box. I'll let
your imagination fill that one in. Anyway, the features, as seen above are
pictured on the box. Opening the box reveals the cooler itself wrapped in
plastic.

Accessories:
Unpacking the contents of the box, you will be
presented by what you see in picture 4 below. A 26 inch long USB cable, an AC power
adapter with an ample 66 inch long cord that powers the fans and the USB hub,
and lastly, a brief instruction page on the unit are all included. There is also a closer look at
the power adapter in picture 5. If you misplace yours, or yours dies, blah,
blah, blah, you can use that picture as reference to get you out of a jam. I know I have
looked up things like that before on the internet, so that is why I am making
note of it.

A look at the cooler:
First I'd like to point out the rubber feet
that you can see on the left side of picture 6, and not on the right. It is very
easily flipped over for those that need to hold their laptop in place better on
the pad, if yours doesn't "stick" adequately for you. Great thinking there!
Thank you. Moving to the bottom, we see things that we are accustomed to seeing
in products like this. One is two feet, if you will, on the back of the unit to
lift up the laptop so that the keyboard is more ergonomic to type on. Also,
there are 4 rubber feet on the bottom of the unit to hold it on the desk, which
work quite well.
There are two compartments on the bottom of the unit. One is
a great place to store your USB cable, which of course plugs into a USB port on
your laptop, into the 4 port USB hub, if you didn't really catch that before.
Though the compartments make more sense to another
style of this cooler, I can see, and like having Jetart manufacture this in
general, perhaps as a base unit, then adding or subtracting features as needed.
This helps keep production costs down, and that my friend, is how they keep
costs down to to us too. I'm sure you can figure out something to slip into the
other storage unit. Maybe flash memory cards?

A closer look at the bottom:
Real quick here, picture 8 is the bottom sticker. Anyone find
the missing "n"? Looking at the bottom of the fans we can see that they are UL
listed for us in the United States. I have no idea what CSA is though...
(Editor's note: Canadian Standards Association?)

Inside!:
I couldn't resist taking out the Philips-head screws. Below is the
overview, and I'll go into better detailed pictures below that are just as self
explanatory.

I would like to focus in on the fan and the
LEDs below. You can clearly see this cooler is powered by two 5V, 70 x 70 x
10mm Y.S. Tech fans. I don't really know what the two LED's that come out of the
power board do. My hypothesis is that the two LED's tell if the fans are
spinning. While not the end of the world I suppose if one of the fans quits, and
you'd probably hear the fan bearings going out anyway. But that is a novel idea
for those of you that will just leave something like this on their desk. You
should be able to see the LED's with a peek under your laptop.
